La Pieve is a delightful stone-built country house in a hillside location with spectacular views of surrounding meadows, orchards, olive groves and vineyard. In the past it was a stable where horses and other animals were kept and fed. Then it was neglected for several years until the actual owners bought it and completely restored it to a very high standard quality to make it as their main house during the winter time. The restoration’s works have preserved the original old lucchese style features like stone walls, beamed ceilings and terracotta floor. The ancient “mandolate” have also been retained as they exactly were in the past. Every modern comfort has been provided: dish-washer, washing machine, microwave, cd player, dvd player and more. The furnishings have been chosen with lovely care. Some modern pieces have been twinned with some antique and the result is a stylish setting combined with colours of a more modern style. The same deep care has been has been put in the organisation of the external area. Two terraces, one out the kitchen, the other, covered, out of the living room, offer the guest two fully provided outside dining areas: barbecue isn’t missing. The swimming pool measures 5x10 metres and there are several sun-beds. All around a very well kept terraced garden, with its 4000 square metres of different flowers and plants. Ping-Pong table and two mountain bike are at the guests’ complete disposal.
